Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities
State councils on Developmental Disabilities engage in systems change, capacity building and advocacy activities. The mission of the Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities is to create change that improves the lives of Oregonians with developmental disabilities.
Disability Rights Oregon
Disability Rights Oregon (DRO): Empowers individuals with information & tools for successful self-advocacy; Provides legal representation; Promotes policies that benefit all Oregonians with disabilities.
The Oregon DD Coalition periodically provides training opportunities and resources for people who support individuals with developmental disabilities, including direct support providers, family members, self advocates and related professionals.
It is our goal to provide support, motivation and instruction through these cost-effective training opportunities. We encourage you to learn more about providing supports in ways that enhance the lives and opportunities of the people you are working for, and your own life as well. When providers, self advocates and family members are secure, skilled, and happy, support is more successful. Our goal is to help you achieve this!
We will continue to share trainings on topics specific to disabilities and related best practices, how to access resources in the community, and much, much more!
We invite you to take a look at previous training presentations brought to you by the Oregon IDD Coalition through the Direct Support Training Series:
The Oregon DD Coalition advocates for DD services on behalf of and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and support organizations in Oregon.
We influence DD service and community support systems and legislation by communicating with a common, consistent voice – creating better opportunities for Oregonians with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
